Food Fight 2012
The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit relief organization which leads the fight against hunger with knowledge-based strategies to distribute donated, purchased, and prepared foods through a network of feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties.
NTFB supports the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through research, education, advocacy and strategic partnerships. In 2012, NTFB provided access to more than 47 million nutritious meals, a 45% increase year-over-year.
WHAT IS FOOD FIGHT 2012?
Food Fight 2012 is a food drive, active from November 1 to December 15th. We are collecting donations for the North Texas Food Bank.
As a company, we’ve committed to donating 10,000 lbs of food or $10,000 by the end of the drive, but we’re expecting to exceed that goal! We’re asking for your help as we seek to give back and enrich our community.
WHY “FOOD FIGHT”?
Our main goal with Food Fight 2012 is to fight hunger in North Texas and the surrounding community and to meet the needs of the underprivileged. We’re also trying to fight the perception that we’re another faceless, impersonal company. Each of us has a heart for giving, and we want to show how amazing it is to work in a place that encourages sacrifice.
MAKE “FOOD FIGHT” HISTORY
Food Fight 2012 is the first major project from Pay It Forward, the charitable arm of Forward Home Security. We don’t have a history; we’ll be making it!
